Mission Statement
NewsElect aims to create an innovative way to read news by alternating between articles of different political leanings. To encourage people to read across the political spectrum, NewsElect pairs up the latest progressive and conservative articles on the election.
NewsElect believes that news is not for one-time consumption. Good articles deserve to be revisited. In this spirit, NewsElect is designed to let people compare current articles to past articles to see how candidates positions have changed.
NewsElect supports independent and local journalism. Around half of the news sites on NewsElect are regional. NewsElect also values users privacy. It does not keep users browsing history. For more information, please refers to NewsElects Privacy Policy.
News-bias Ratings
No single news-bias rating system is perfect; that is why NewsElect includes bias ratings from two sources: Media Bias Fact Check and AllSides. For more information, please read NewsElects Use of External Resources in the app.
